The statement comes from Mr Nguyen Duc Thanh, Chairman of Ninh Thuan People’s Committee at a press briefing regarding a conference on announcement of Ninh Thuan socioeconomic development master plan till 2020 held in Ho Chi Minh City by the Ninh Thuan People’s Committee and the Ministry of Planning and Investment. The master plan was approved by the Prime Minister in the Decision No. 1222 dated July 22, 2011. This aims at bringing Ninh Thuan province into a national energy centre and making it one of 10 richest provinces in Vietnam in the next 10 years.

Ho Chi Minh City’s sleepy apartment market sees no sign of improvements amid a difficult economy.
“Never before has the property market been as stagnant as it is this year. There were a number of homebuyers by late 2008-2009, a period which was hurt by economic turmoil but there was almost no transaction at this time of the year,” said property firm TechcomReal’s general director Nguyen Xuan Loc.
